My Hip Story - Part 5 of 5 - Moving in Daily Life

It’s great to have my asana practice back, but it’s the quality of daily life that has improved dramatically and brings me so much joy. Every step I take, every time I sit down, stand up, climb stairs, pick up a child, go into a squat to cuddle a small dog, carry heavy things - it all feels amazing. Prior to my surgeries I had enormous difficulty going up and down stairs, I could not stand on one leg to pull on a shoe or get dressed, and it had become impossible to lift a knee or swing my leg over to get on a bicycle or scooter. I was in so much pain and constantly miserable. Now I can go for long beach walks and daily life is no longer torture.

I am so glad I had these surgeries.
