In March of 2024 I underwent simultaneous, bilateral, full hip replacement surgery. Yes, I had both hips replaced at the same time. The outcome has been excellent. Absolutely life-changing.

Here you see me waiting to be called for surgery at the ATOS Klinik in Munich… hips “Made in Germany”.

The nurse came to get me earlier than planned. Sound on to hear how surprised she was to find me in a Handstand. You can see how awkward it is for me to walk back to turn the camera off. I was in so much pain.

I actually did my first Handstand about 6 weeks after surgery, at the wall with a partner supporting me for safety. Here you see that one year later I felt confident about doing it alone.
